CloudBuddies ("CloudBuddies", "we", "our", or "us") operates the cloudbase app, a guidebook for launch sites, training schools, and user generated cork board (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

This Privacy Policy is intended to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and Google Play Developer Program requirements.

1. Information We Collect

To create and maintain your account, we may collect the following personal information:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• HPAC number

We do not collect payment information, contacts, photos, messages, or precise location data through the App unless expressly stated in a future update.

2. How We Use Your Information

We collect and use your personal information solely for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing user accounts
• Verifying user identity and account ownership
• Authenticating users when they sign in
• Maintaining account security
• Providing customer support
• Communicating important account-related information

We do not use your personal information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Firebase Services

The App uses Firebase services provided by Google, including:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firebase Storage

These services help us securely authenticate users and store application data necessary for operation of the App.

Information provided during account creation or authentication may be processed and stored using Firebase infrastructure. Firebase services may process data on servers located outside Canada.

4. Consent

By creating an account and using the App, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us, subject to legal and operational requirements.

5. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may disclose personal information only:

• To trusted service providers that assist with operation of the App, including Firebase services
• When required by law, regulation, court order, or legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, security, or property of our users,      CloudBuddies, or others

All service providers are expected to maintain appropriate safeguards to protect personal information.

6. Data Storage and Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Information transmitted between the App and our service providers is encrypted in transit.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:

• Provide account services
• Maintain security and operational integrity
• Comply with legal obligations

When an account is deleted, associated personal information will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

8. Account Deletion

Users may delete their account directly within the App.

Upon verification of the request, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account, subject to any legal retention requirements.

This account deletion process is provided to comply with Google Play account deletion requirements.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

• Correction of inaccurate information
• Information regarding how your data is used
• Deletion of your personal information
• Withdrawal of consent

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.

11. International Data Processing

Because we use third-party cloud service providers, including Firebase, personal information may be stored or processed outside Canada.

When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

12. Google Play Data Safety Disclosure

The App collects the following personal information:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• HPAC number

This information is collected solely for account creation, authentication, account management, and account security.

The App:

• Does not sell personal information
• Does not use personal information for advertising
• Does not share personal information for marketing purposes
• Uses encryption during data transmission
• Provides users with the ability to request deletion of their data
• Allows users to delete their account directly within the App

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be posted within the App and/or on our website. The revised Privacy Policy becomes effective upon publication.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
